Ahead of the much awaited interest rate decision by the FED later on January 29, the Sensex and Nifty closed at their day's high, continuing their winning streak for the second session. Strong increases in IT and banking equities drove the rally. With the exception of Nifty FMCG, which fell 0.4 percent, all 12 sectoral indices ended the day higher. At the closing, the Nifty was up 206 percent, or 0.9 percent, at 23,163, while the Sensex was up 654 points, or 0.9 percent, at 76,555. 406 equities closed the day in the red on the NSE, while 2,152 stocks saw gains.  The top Nifty 50 gainers, increasing 3–4%, were Trent, Shriram Finance, Bharat Electronics, Tata Motors, and SBI Life. Conversely, Bharti Aitrtel, Britannia, Maruti Suzuki, are the top losers. Tomorrow possibility of gap up/gap down of more than 100 points would be on higher side therefore trading range could be 22500-23500.
