Salary customers may be affected by factors such as lack of liquidity, industry recession, loss of employment or personal emergencies, death or permanent incapacitation, and insufficient coverage of credit-linked insurance for life, property, or in cases of permanent incapacity.

Banks and NBFC are in business of borrowing at lower interest rate and channeling them into higher yielding domains to make profit.
